UW Equestrian Team

Congrats to the UW Equestrian Team for winning the region yesterday!  UWET won the region by 72 points and put on an amazing 2 day show!

A big congrats to Hayley Selch, Molly Reich, Amy Reynolds, Alex Kuechel, and Kristie Hohol for qualifying for regionals next weekend at Notre Dame!  Good luck ladies in the post season!

We will be hosting spring tryouts on this Sunday from 3:30-5:30 pm. 

We will be hosting an informational meeting Wednesday, January 30th.  Time and location: Sac room 4210 at 8:30 - 9:30 PM. The informational meeting IS mandatory.  If you cannot make it please email Captain Amy Reynolds at amreynolds2@wisc.edu 

UWET is proud to announce that we have been invited to compete in the January Tournament of Champions series horse show. This event is going to be held in Virginia January 26th, 2013 with the location TBD.

UWET finished strong at our last horse show that Notre Dame hosted at Culver Academies.

The team as well as many riders won their classes, and freshman Camber Sannes won the high point rider at the horse show!

Going into the spring UWET leads the region by 52 points.

UWET rode at the Augustana College horse show this past weekend with much success in beautiful weather. Saturday the team won the high point title with 45 points, tying UWET's record for highest amount of points scored at an away horse show.

Our first show of the season was a huge success!  Even though it rained all weekend our horses and riders performed beautifully and UWET captured the High Point title Saturday and Sunday!  

We would like to congratulate our new member Kristie Hohol for winning High Point Rider on Saturday and Reserve High Point on Sunday.  We would also like to congratulate Hayley Selch for bringing home the Reserve High Point ribbon on Saturday.  Both riders put in some beautiful Open rides!

The team recently traveled to Baltimore to compete in the pre-season Tournament of Champions Classic at Goucher College, and had a great time!

TOC's are always a great opportunity to get more exposure and experience for our riders. All riders and schools looked great!

UWET will be heading to Baltimore, Maryland to compete in the Tournament of Champions Preseason Classic at Goucher College September 22nd. TOC is a series of three shows which top teams across the country are invited to participate in. UWET is very excited to have this opportunity again!

These shows are separate from our regular season shows and points do not count but they end up being super fun as well as help our team gain higher level competition experience. The following riders will be representing our team at the 2012 Preseason Classic:
